The record
The record is the proof
Every piece here is documented before it is listed — what it is, where it was woven, what it is made of — and the documents travel with it.
The reference
Every rug carries a TAR reference — on its page, and on its card in the register. It names one physical object, and it stays on the record after the piece sells.
The specification
What is written on a piece's page is its record: origin, tradition, technique, material, dye, knot density, dimensions. Origin is stated plainly, from where the rug was actually woven — never inferred from a name.
What travels with it
Each piece ships from İstanbul with its export documentation, including the attestation that it is new work — nothing here is antique, and the paperwork says so at the border.
The record of your order — the piece, its photographs, its specification and its price — is kept as it stood on the day you bought it.
What we do not claim
We do not attribute a piece to a named hand, and we do not sell age. If a claim is not on the record, we do not make it.
